SB900 and SB910 45 deg grid
thingiverse
Adapter to fit Nikon SB-900 and SB-910 speedlight bracket. Please note that printing the bracket from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2322639 is required. Collimating the light into a narrower beam, this setup allows you to add a gel by clamping it between the bracket and the grid. This 45-degree grid is wider than my previous one from thing 2322639. Note that the output is similar to the bare flash, with rapid falloff being the only noticeable difference. Two circular holes on the sides of the grid are designed for gluing in 10mm diameter x 3mm Magnets (Jaycar.com.au part # LM-1622). Note: To shoot rapidly and/or at full power, ensure that the vent holes in the bracket are open. Speedlights generate a significant amount of heat, which can melt the gel or speelight fresnel lens if not properly ventilated. This is less critical with the 45-degree grid due to its larger holes allowing for better heat dissipation.
