Saxophone reed
thingiverse
I created a detailed design and printed it using varied layer heights, earning me an observation that it resembled a saxophone reed remarkably well. I decided to attempt transforming its shape into one. This part resulted from my effort. I'm not familiar with saxophones or actual reeds, so I relied on available online dimensions and shapes to create this replica. No Saxophone Expert Here! Since I don't play the saxophone nor have ever even held a real reed in hand, my rendition is purely theoretical based on the dimensions and forms of reeds I was able to locate online. Detailed Printing Instructions: Print with a 0.05mm layer height, full 100% fill rate, and use an extrusion width of exactly 0.4mm. Due to the design's tendency to lift at its back edge, I found it necessary to add a brim during printing for support purposes.
