Saxon Monastery
thingiverse
The model is a representation of a Saxon monastery during King Alfred the Great's time, ideal for military or wargaming models in 28mm scale. The figures depicted are Gripping Beast Vikings. To achieve accuracy, the model reflects my interpretation of an artist's recreation based on an archaeologist's estimation of what a monastery 'up north' might have looked like. I'm confident that this representation is spot on! 02Dec17 .stl files can be split into smaller parts at the user's request. I should have done it earlier, but it's been taken care of now. Printer Settings: * Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro * Rafts: Not necessary * Supports: None needed * Resolution: Fine Post-Printing: Painting: The model is undercoated with gesso for a solid base. It's painted with acrylics to add vibrant colors and details. A final coat of matte varnish will complete the look, once I get around to it.
