Savox Arm - Saver- Mount
thingiverse
This is a reinforcement arm for the SH-255mg or similar servo's. This design will wrap around the gear part of the factory plastic arm and extend out past the ball screw for more strength, I used CA (superglue) to glue the two parts together along with inserting the ball screw at the same time so the CA glue dries all three parts together. The center to center distance is 8mm which is the same distance I've been using with the 1rc arm. I also added just a little extra plastic to the toe just in case you want to try to extend it out. If you choose to keep my stock locations (8mm) then you may have to file off some of the tip of the arm so it doesn't rub the chassis, I did this on purpose to give you all options. WARNING - the four way stock horn holes are at different lengths so print the arm and dry fit it before cutting the arms off / down. I have also included my universal servo mounts, lay them flat when printing for even more strength. I gave you options for height just in case some of you choose to use eaglesviewariel weight set, you can pick between high or low depending on which plates you are using to keep the ball as close to the chassis as possible. I have also included a forward or rearward position just in case you wish to use the 1rc arm. The third item is my "chad link" that I've been using for over a year now on my cars, Made with TPU plastic this is the ultimate servo saver that you'll ever use. this is my 13.5mm arm to help the servo stay centered a little better. Never break another steering part.... full stop!
