Save pangolins
cults3d
Pangolins face a critical crisis as they edge closer to extinction. Humans are primarily responsible for this disaster, fueled by superstition and greed. Pangolins, covered in tough and overlapping scales, are far from aggressive animals. Their protective armor defends them against predators in the wild. However, people hunt them relentlessly due to misconceptions about their meat's medicinal value and the supposed potency of their scales. The numbers of pangolins continue to dwindle as some individuals consume them merely to showcase their wealth. This behavior threatens these helpless animals with extinction. Although international trade in pangolins has been banned since 2000, CITES has listed them as protected species in most Asian countries. Despite this, pangolins remain vulnerable to smuggling and poaching. If we fail to take action now, the consequences will be dire. Strict enforcement of laws punishing poachers and pangolin-eaters is crucial to addressing the crisis. This is our last chance to save pangolins from extinction, and it's imperative that we act decisively. I've spent considerable time perfecting this artwork, and it has undergone at least six revisions before being presented here today. My goal was to create a piece that harmoniously combines aesthetics and functionality. Initially, I struggled to share my work because of my strong emotional attachment to it. Now, I'm eager for you to experience the intricate details firsthand. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corp. for providing dedicated color materials (ABS) and supporting me throughout this project. The design software used was SketchUp, with the following settings: - ABS material - z-resolution: 0.2mm - Scale: 100% - Print only small models at or below 75% of their original size - Layer resolution: 0.15mm For more information, please visit: https://amaochan.work/ https://www.facebook.com/paperworkers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkWxOLbFxPI
