Sausage Stuffer Tubes for LEM-Branded Stuffers
thingiverse
Every sausage stuffer manufacturer relies on one of a few standard sizes for their stuffer tubes, making it easy to find replacements on Amazon for just a few dollars. LEM manufacturing, however, stands out by using their own non-standard size, forcing users to spend over $60 for a set of three tubes or another $60 for a 10 mm stuffer for pepperettes. To solve this problem, you can print your own stuffer tubes using the included files for standard-sized casings: 10 mm (pepperettes), 16 mm (hotdog), 22 mm (standard sausages) and 32 mm (salami). The base is designed to fit LEM's unique base-plate (38 mm) and features slightly thicker walls than injection-molded components, making them strong enough to withstand the pressure of filling. These tubes have been sized to fit standard casings but may require sanding if using collagen or synthetic casings. When printing your stuffer tubes: 1. I recommend printing with food-grade filament to ensure safety. 2. For optimal results, print at a higher temperature than recommended by your filament manufacturer, as I did with PLA at 240C. 3. If you print in PLA or PETG, hand-washing is necessary due to the risk of distortion in most dishwashers.
