Sauropelta edwardsorum is a species of armored dinosaur that lived in North America during the Early Cretaceous period, around 112 to 110 million years ago. It was a medium-sized ankylosaurid, measuring about 5 meters in length and weighing around 1.5 tons. Its body was covered in bony plates and spikes for protection against predators. Fossils of Sauropelta edwardsorum have been found in the Cloverly Formation of Montana and Wyoming, and it is one of the best-known ankylosaurids from this region.
