Sauron is the primary antagonist of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, serving as the central character in the work. In Tolkien's earlier novel The Hobbit, he is referenced as the Necromancer. Furthermore, in The Silmarillion (published posthumously by Christopher Tolkien), Sauron is described as the chief lieutenant of Morgoth, the first Dark Lord. Tolkien acknowledged that his constructed myth featured angelic powers capable of various degrees of error and failing. However, he noted that Morgoth and Sauron's absolute Satanic rebellion and evil represented the most severe form of failure. The sculpting process involved creating a base mesh in Zbrush using Dynamesh to work on primary and secondary forms. After completing the detail step, I decided to divide the bust into three parts to ensure it was almost completely free from supports, except for some small ones at the bottom of the helmet. The central part with the head and base is free support, aside from those minor supports. Most of my time was spent on crafting clean shapes on the shoulders and helmet using brushes such as Trim dynamic, Hpolish, and Form soft. For detailing, I primarily used a Standard brush with a Spray stroke and various Alphas.
