Satyre Verseur at the Louvre, Paris, France

This torso forms part of a collection of ancient replicas based on a renowned original. With his right hand he grasped the jug (or oinochoe) and poured wine into a cup held firmly in his left hand, though that cup is not visible here but rather in another sculpture created by Praxiteles. The extremely smooth, unclothed body likely draws inspiration from another sculptor active during the fourth century BC (refer to Apollo Sauroctonus Ma 441).\r\n\r\nThis object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory that seeks to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost.
