This statue depicts a youthful satyr playing a flute and is crafted from Parian marble. It originates from ancient Roman work in the 1st-2nd century CE from Italy, showcasing style reminiscent of Praxiteles, Scopas, and Lysippe. The Louvre's Department of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities currently houses this item in Paris. Volunteers used roughly 35 images to scan this piece for us. This object is part of the "Scan The World" project.
