Saturn V Rocket
thingiverse
This model replicates the famous lift rocket, which Wikipedia states is the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful operational rocket, holding the record for the heaviest launch vehicle payload. It has been designed to fit within the printing capabilities of my UM printer, although it requires a time-consuming 10+ hours print duration. The model originates from NASA's .3ds file available at nasa.gov/multimedia/3d_resources/models.html, with some adjustments made for printing purposes. Despite Cura identifying several intersection errors possibly caused by nozzle intersections with the base, slicing remains unaffected. Assistance in running a Sketchup Pro routine to save external faces would be greatly appreciated. The model features 3.5mm holes for centering pieces when gluing, but any rescaling would necessitate re-doing these holes.
