Saturn V LUT - Additional Equipment - 1/60 Scale
thingiverse
Like everyone else is noticing, Thingiverse is becoming difficult to work with so I'm moving this project to Printibles.com @ https://www.printables.com/model/228785-saturn-v-launch-umbilical-tower-lut-additional-equ and will primarily be supporting it there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I began this project July 1, 2021. I had already made the 1/96 scale Saturn V model from the NASA website but the detail I wanted was lacking so I commenced the 1/60 scale Saturn V from https://the-amphioxus.monsite-orange.fr/. This is the most detailed 3D printable model of the Saturn V stack that I could find and when I completed that model after about 3 months, I started searching for a 1/60 scale LUT. I found farscape1's LUT available at (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:911891) to be a great start! I've now completed his LUT and have topped it off with Christine's Colby crane! (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4222791) The LUT is a huge project, but it doesn't have the detailed conduit and equipment installed at each level. I've found 3D PDF models of work done by Mischa Klement at MicroArtwork and have begun translating these equipment models to 1/60 scale for my own LUT. I'll post my .stl files here in the hopes that it will help others looking to add more detail to their LUT. After completing Christine's Colby Crane, I added the "NASA Crawler Transporter" by SMC321 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4563734), scaling it up from 1/70 to 1/60 scale. I'll be finishing off the project with a launch pad base to incorporate the Launch to Ground assembly so that the crawler transporter can be displayed under the mobile launcher as I believe it should be.
