Saturn SL2 Parking Brake Button

Long story short, I've been fixing up my 1999 Saturn SL2 for my son who's starting to drive, but the parking brake lever's release button was busted. I called a couple of junkyards looking for a replacement, but they never got back to me. That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I want to extend a huge thank you to the Computer Science department at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire for their dedication and hard work. You can learn more about them online at http://www.uwec.edu/computer-science. After working with FreeCAD, I would approach designing the part differently next time. Instead of creating it as a single unit, I would break it down into smaller subsections. This would make it much easier to make adjustments and fine-tune the design. Here are my print settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Low Infill Percentage: ~25% Notes: The print took around 20-25 minutes to complete. After printing, I encountered a bit of a challenge. The plastic was so hard that the white shaft ears wouldn't fit into the hole. To resolve this issue, I decided to boil the part in water for about a minute. This made it soft enough to push the parts together smoothly. Designing the Part FreeCAD and Measurement Tools I used FreeCAD along with the original part and a micrometer to design the parking brake lever's release button.
