Saturn Coaster - Untersetzer
prusaprinters
You can print this two-colored coaster without an AMS (or similar) by printing the parts of Saturn, its rings and the rim first and then the rest of the coaster like this:Make sure that you place the coaster with Saturn facing down on the plate.Move the whole object off center so that the homing of your nozzle does not hit the areas with the first color (check “travel” in your slicer).Split the coaster into its 6 objects and select the filament and colors you want to use.Slice and print all the 5 parts with the first color (0.2mm layer height) without “elephant foot compensation”. Suggestions for first layer settings: concentric for the rim and rings, 135° infill direction (parallel to “the cut where the rings cross”) and monotonic for the planet.Keep the temperature of your plate high, so that your first print stays on the plate while changing the filament and removing all the extrusion lines not belonging to the coaster. If one of the first 5 parts didn't turn out as expected, you can remove it from the plate and reprint only that part.Slice and print the rest of the coaster (0.2mm layer height - at least in the first layer) without “elephant foot compensation”. If you like to have more info how to print the coaster, I'm happy to add them. Just ask. FYI: I learned this two-color-printing method from the following video and just print additional layers on top - this should also work for non-Bambu-printers if you can choose which objects you want to print (I used the OrcaSlicer):
