Saturn 2 Inkbird Probe Arm
prusaprinters
This is a holder for the temperature probe for an Inkbird ITC-308 Temperature Controller for the Elegoo Saturn 2. With this, you can hold the probe in the vat instead of tucked into the outside of the vat, and get a more accurate reading of the resin itself. The original Vat holdown bolts work with the probe arm. After printing, you may need to ream the holes for the bolt as well as the probe ever so slightly with a razer or a sanding stick to get your desired tension. You don't want the probe too loose, as you don't want it touching the film, or sliding under the buildplate. There is a cutout in the corner, to clear the build plate. I have used a wham bam magnetic plate, as well as the OEM Saturn 2 plate and had no clearance issues but you should still test by lowering your buildplate manually to check for clearance. In the thumbnail, it actually shows the buildplate lowered to show clearance. There is also a little tab so it can't swing in towards or away from the corner. If you would like the arm to use the right side of the vat, mirror the part. I've printed for a few weeks now with it installed, as well as having to remove to clean the vat a few times. and it still holds tension.I use this with the riser for cutouts for the fermentation belt and temp controller. I printed using 20% infill, no rafts or supports using an ender 3 S1. *** V1 does not need support. V2 as it is, does. *** V2: I added a 2nd semi-ring to keep the probe from tipping inwards. You could also just make it a thicker solid piece instead instead of seperate rings. The 2nd layer will need supports as I was using this part to test support settings for other things.*** Added a V2 version othat's solid and doesn't use supports
