Satsana Remix for Ender 3 with for Orbiter v2 Dragonfly BMS 5015 fan
thingiverse
V3.1 - Added the fan cover piece. Radiocative sign V3.0 - I was experience some sag, especially when printing materials that demand a higher temperature. Because of that I changed the fan top hole for a brass insert and the Orbiter fixing holes for brass inserts as well. (4mm brass inserts for M3 screws). Some other minor tweaks in the design to help with clearance and assembly. Also I printed this new version in ABS with no major issues (enclosure is advised). V2.0 - A few minor changes to make easier to acess the screws and nuts. Also fixed some clearances to make more room for adjustments Bear in mind this is my first remix, I´m quite a noob at fusion 360 an this is the most complex project I attempted to date. So be kind, any feedback is appreciated. I upgraded to an orbiter v2 and a Dragonfly BMS and I couldn´t find anything that suited my needs. I like the Satsana since it is a no frills design, it is a light fan duct, it is compatible with noctua fans and has a removable BLtouch bracket. Since I couldn´t find anything that suited my needs I attempted this remix. First of all you´ll need: - 2 M4x8 bolts and two M4 nuts (self locking is advised) - To enlarge the orbiter fixing holes (I opted for M4 bolts and the orbiter is M3). Grab a soldering iron and get busy. - You might need some dremeling/filing the stock ender 3 carriage, since it has some interference with the Phaetus nozzle. I didn´t designed this project to work with spacers, but it might work. Try at your own risk. - I designed it to work with the Orbiter v2, but It might work with earlier versions too (I haven´t tried tho) - The BL touch requires M3 bolts and nuts. I also needed some washers to install it, I 3d printed them but I forgot to save the desing. I is quite easy to make tho. - I advise using a Noctua fan for the hotend since it is quiet and reliable. From my experience the 10mm is a little bit too weak so go for a 20mm. - The fan grill I used can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4794720 The orbiter is fixed with the M4 bolts, I also made 2 slots for the M4 nuts. They are a bit finnick. Be patient. A little magnet is a great tool to help you hold the M$ nut in its desired position. You should cable manage as you go since the cable slot is different than the original I lengthened the fixing slots to have more adjustabilty. I printed it in PLA and ABS (printer enclosure is advised) and it works but feel free to try other materials. Enjoy and leave your comment.
