Satellite Adjustment Tools

This project came about because I didn't want to shell out $150 to a satellite company for installation, so I headed over to my local Harbor Freight store and picked up a digital angle gauge. Once in hand, I had to figure out how to adjust the dish. This project is geared towards people who use or have large satellite dishes - those who need a little extra help getting their signal just right. After adding the printed components, I was able to pinpoint the satellite and achieve over 75% signal strength. The Satellite Level Adjuster attaches directly to the Mast Elevation Arm. Using your angle gauge, get the elevation dialed in, then deploy the extended platform and position your compass on the level adjuster - now turn the dish until it's aligned with the correct azimuth. Once that's taken care of, place the Sat-Rec-Mount on the LNBF and skew it to the correct skew. To keep my angle gauge securely in place, I taped a small piece of metal onto the Sat-Rec-Mount.
