Satellite
thingiverse
One day I was surfing online, conducting basic research on satellites, when their design and flawless orbits around our planet caught my attention. Since there wasn't an obvious way to acquire a real satellite, I decided to create a model of one that existed only in my imagination. The construction of the model utilizes both 3D printed components and a combination of other materials such as plastics and metals. The choice to incorporate other materials was driven by my desire for greater detail. However, the non-3D printed parts were designed with the intention of being available for anyone who wants to print this model. My hope is that this project will inspire many space enthusiasts out there just as it inspired me. UPDATE: March 24, 2018 I added the 3D part files for the sections of the satellite that weren't initially printed. Now, the entire model can be entirely printed and assembled.
With this file you will be able to print Satellite with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Satellite.
