Satechi USB-C Hub Cable Wrangler
thingiverse
I needed a holder for a few cables to connect to my Satechi Slim Aluminum Type-C Multi-Port Adapter with Type-C Charging Port. It has a lanyard loop (the way all things in the universe need a lanyard loop), and the oval holes are designed to take a USB-C end. I use that to hold my micro-SD card reader. How I Made This I used digital calipers to get precise dimensions, then made an educated guess and checked my work. I measured the key dimensions with my digital calipers and eyeballed the location of the thickest part relative to the large face. Then, I used a three-point arc tool to inscribe an arc through the construction lines based on those measurements. The USB-C plug dimensions were right on in thickness (read from my calipers) but I added almost a millimeter to the width - I assume this is an error of my printer. Which I got three days ago and still don't really know how to optimize.
