Game Link: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/sashimono I recently got my copy of Sashimono and wanted to to do something special for this wonderful game. The insert fits the box with approximately 1mm of spare space on each side so it's snug without binding. The deck slots are designed to accommodate sleeved cards. I did apply some scotch tape to the inside edge of the box to smooth out the transition from carboard to the label and prevent any snagging . Each army is held in a separate side of the insert, divided by a feature which serves as both the shared "I" of the Sashimono label, a pull tab to lift the insert, and it's "fortified design" hints at the balkanization between the two factions. The top surface includes peep holes that center on the banner logos in the general and kumi cards to allow easy identification of the cards beneath. I took a chance on a new feature I hadn't used previously and added "slash" marks behind the text that peek through to the cards beneath. Again, this is a nod to the martial tone of this game and the weapons of the time. Overall this was a fun little project that let me stretch my limits in 3D printing. I hope it serves you well and adds a fun extra element to this wonderful game. A few notes on printing... A horizontal print yields a smoother top surface but you'll have a LOT of support material to clear out. A vertical print (with the I vertical) uses much less material and yields an acceptable surface finish. I printed my insert using Hatchbox PLA+ in matte black and I'm pleased with the result.
