I was requested to create a pattern for casting a 3 1/2" gauge SAR Garrett locomotive wheel for a friend. This design was then successfully 3D printed. The wheel is scaled down to 1/12 of its full-size equivalent, since South Africa's rail tracks are built on a 3' 6" gauge standard. I'm including the STL file and the Viacad Pro 9 file so you can experiment with them and produce the driver wheel using different counterweights.
