I crafted these spouts specifically to cradle a gallon coffee can, featuring a notch that securely holds the can in place. To assemble the setup, simply drill a hole into the side of the can large enough for the spout to be inserted snugly inside. I found this spout particularly convenient because it allows you to skip cutting off the lid of the can, making the process much easier. Additionally, the spout's substantial weight enables you to tap it firmly into the tree with a hammer, and its plastic composition ensures that it won't cause any damage to the tree or a chainsaw even if left in place for an extended period.
