Sanwa OSBF-30 1-1/4" hole adaptor
thingiverse
If you splurged on some high-end Sanwa OSBF-30 buttons for your arcade stick, but decided a 1 1/4" drill bit would do in a pinch for your wood box, you probably feel the frustration I felt when I saw just how loose that fit was. The 2mm discrepancy between buttons, and even some holes poking out from under the button flange when the button is slid to one side... completely unacceptable! I went so far as to search reddit posts claiming it would be a satisfactory fit. What to do? I wasn't about to cut, glue, sand, router, drill, and paint another cabinet. So I created these shims to provide a better fit. They work great, and now nobody will know I took a shortcut on buying a 30mm drill bit. Some printers prefer you use a brim for good bed adhesion (since the parts have a very small footprint). The model is 0.9mm thick, which works perfectly with 0.4mm nozzles and a 0.45mm line width. Print 2 shims per button (one for each side). Orient the shims so the square notches are near the top of the button, snap the fingers into the slots next to the Sanwa's tabs, and press fit the button into your 1-1/4 holes. Enjoy!
