Realistic Model of Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe 3571 Steam Locomotive Built for Blender The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe 3751 is a mighty 4-8-4 Northern-type steam locomotive constructed by the skilled artisans at Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1927. Built to revolutionize passenger service for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, this powerful engine quickly rose through the ranks as the first Northern type steam locomotive to serve on the Santa Fe roster. As a testament to its dedication to serving passengers with precision and finesse, the 3751 remained in service until it was finally retired from duty in 1953. Following its years of tireless effort, the locomotive took its final bow in San Bernardino, California, where it spent several years on display, its massive engine idle but its legend living on. But in 1991, a concerted restoration effort was undertaken to breathe new life into this hallowed machine. After extensive repairs and maintenance, the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe 3751 was reborn, ready to steam back into service once more. Today, it is proudly owned and operated by the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society. Whenever feasible, the engine roars to life as a primary draw for special excursion trains traveling along the main line tracks. Regrettably though, there's looming uncertainty ahead - due to the terms of its mandatory 15-year inspection which would necessitate taking it out of commission for roughly three to four years in the not too distant future.
