The object on display comes from the impressive collections of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. The company behind its creation, Charles Fey & Son, was a San Francisco-based business that manufactured a wide range of gambling devices. Charles Fey earns credit for inventing the slot machine, a groundbreaking innovation in gaming technology. This device was produced during the 1920s. The circular area holding the dice, the payout area, and the window to the right of the payouts card are all encased in glass, which is unfortunately not visible in this model.
