Sans from Undertale, printed with precision on a single extruder machine using purple PLA, took on a new glow as it transitioned seamlessly into Glow in the Dark PLA. The resulting model is undeniably the character Sans, created by Toby Fox and copyrighted to its respective owners. Visit undertale.com for more information on this iconic RPG from 2015. I designed this 3D model with an upcoming video project in mind. As it turns out, the production of a pixel art-inspired 3D item was a perfect fit for this video showcase. With Sans in hand, my focus turned to preparation and pre-production. I fed the design into Photoshop, bringing out its vibrant colors. Then, embossing gave the model some texture. To create multiple layers with precision cuts, I relied on Slic3r, followed by Repetier, which handled pauses and reconfigurations expertly, bringing this pixel art 3D item to life step by step.
