Sanitary Door Handle
thingiverse
Version 2 of the design is now visible in the CAD model, while version 1 is shown in a separate picture. This newer version features a shorter cleat on the handle side and triangular markings that indicate where to place the command strip. The print is currently underway on my machine, but I didn't want to wait for it to be completed before posting an update. I'll make sure to add more photos later. In many places, including our workplace with zero sanitary door handles in the restrooms, I've noticed that this feature is often missing. To address this issue, I designed a solution that attaches using three command strips. The mounting points are clearly marked by triangles on top of the design. This method doesn't require any holes to be drilled. In my initial version, I used a nut and bolt in a clamping action to secure the attachment to the door. However, I soon realized that the thin shank passing between the jamb and door would flex. As a result, I plan to create a thicker-shanked version for use with hardware mounting. It's worth noting that the gap between your door and its jamb might be too small, which could cause the door not to shut properly.
