Sangle de masque Protège Oreilles ( Mask Ear Strap )
thingiverse
VERSION 2 Here is a Ear Protector to keep the elastic of a protection mask around the ear. The version 2 is an improvement of the version 1 with a larger throat diameter to accept all types of elastic. And there are no more hooks at the end of the lobe. It allows keeping in the throat the elastic so as not to pull on the earlobe. Its length here is 230 mm (which suits for a head circumference of 590 mm). But very easily modifiable under Fusion360 (or ask me another length). It can be used as it is but the ideal is to thermo-form it at its own head contour. It then holds itself, which makes the placement of the mask much easier. To do this, you must heat lightly the strap with an iron and a tampon for softening (or a thermal gun at 80°C). You just have to apply the object in position around the cup until cooling (do not lower your head during the operation but keep it straight). The inconvenience of thermoforming is that it's hard to store in a handbag or other. By reheating, it's possible to modify the shape infinitely (almost). Length outside of 261 mm. So do not pass on a Creality Ender 3. There are therefore three pieces to print (the right and left parts and the connection piece). Attention the connection has a bottom-up sense because the low and high straps are not quite symmetrical. You just have to stick the connection on the straps kept in place with acetone or chloroform to reconstitute the whole. Depending on the quality of printing, it may be necessary to sand the ends and blemishes so as not to hurt your ears (grain 800 or 1000 paper).
