The ancient relic of Hori, a sandstone shabti figure from Dynasty 19, holds significant importance as funerary equipment. Its name is uShabti, denoting its role in aiding the deceased in the afterlife. This Nineteenth Dynasty and New Kingdom artifact stands approximately 0.235 meters tall. The figure's inscription reads Hm-kA Hr, emphasizing its purpose as a loyal companion for Hori during his journey into the afterlife. It is a painted representation, not adhering to the traditional mummiform shape commonly associated with shabtis. This remarkable relic was acquired through the bequest of Edward Towry Whyte in 1932 and bears Object Number E.48.1932. A precise digital model of this artifact was created by Melanie Pitkin utilizing a Sony A6000 camera and Photoscan Pro software.
