Sandisk Ultra Duo replacement shell housing
prusaprinters
Not long ago, my shell housing broke for this USB thumb drive, and I never use the micro-USB side of it, so I decided to design a replacement shell that would work for hiding the micro-USB and allow the USB-A port to be used.Disclaimer, this is a WIP. I have not yet printed a test to see how it will fit together. I'd recommend using a .1 layer height and a 0.4mm nozzle at a low speed, such as 15mm/s.The included photos are of the drive outside of its original housing. Some flush cutters are needed to clip off excess plastic around the center of the drive so that it will slide smoothly into the replacement shell housing.Update: I recommend printing the case with TPU. Otherwise, the tolerances will be too tight, and you will have to scale up the model to insert the thumb drive into the new housing.
