Sanding Tools

Sanding Tools

These printed objects often require sanding, but it's tough to reach all shapes using raw sandpaper. To resolve this issue, create sanding tools by printing, sanding, and gluing sandpaper-covered heads with PVA glue. Secure the sandpaper in place by wrapping elastic bands around the head while drying. When the sandpaper wears out, simply peel it off and replace it. For a smoother finish, plan to print various colored sands with different grades of sandpaper. However, note that concave heads may not export properly as a single .STL file; in such cases, split into head and handle parts, which can be glued together using plastic cement or acetone. The Blender files are provided for customization purposes, and you might be able to print the concave tool as one piece. Remember to enable supports during printing and follow the mentioned instructions for optimal results.
