I recently purchased sanding paper discs that come equipped with drill adapters, but I needed to carefully sand an object by hand. To accomplish this, I designed and 3D printed a grip and applied velcro tape to it. The actual size of the grip is perfect for 3 inch (75mm) sanding discs, while the smaller one is suitable for 2 inch (50mm) sanding discs. A 25% infill provides sufficient rigidity and strength for both grips. I tested different infill patterns: linear for the larger grip and a 3D honeycomb pattern for the smaller one.
