Sanding Block
thingiverse
The sanding block design I've adopted from childhood aims at medium precision in crafting projects. To print the block, use a 20% infill for non-rigidity but ensure a robust outer layer. For my creation, I used a 1mm thick perimeter (approximately five layers with three perimeters at 0.2mm layer height). The sandpaper strip, one inch wide and nine inches long, is folded into the block using a 1/4-inch deep crease. Insert the folded end in the smaller slot, then wrap around until it reaches the larger slot, securing with the wedge. Hold the block in your palm with your thumb on the wedge for leverage while sanding.
