Sanding Block

Summary This sanding block draws inspiration from a design that was familiar to me since childhood. It's crafted for moderate precision, ideal for various crafting tasks. Instructions Print the sanding block at approximately 20% infill density. Although it doesn't require high solidity, a sturdy outer layer is crucial for withstanding stress during use. I utilized a 1mm thick perimeter (equivalent to five solid layers and three perimeters at a 0.2mm layer height) to ensure durability. The sanding block accommodates a strip of sandpaper measuring 1 inch wide by 9 inches long. To prepare it, fold one side about 1/4 inch deep, then double the fold to create added thickness on that end. Insert this prepared section into the smaller slot and wrap the remaining paper around until it reaches the larger slot. Use the wedge to secure the end in place. To utilize the sanding block effectively, rest it comfortably in your palm with your thumb positioned on the wedge for optimal leverage.
