Sanding Belt Block
thingiverse
I was inspired by this awesome project https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2963110 to create a stronger block with a unique shape, and that's exactly what I achieved. Printing at a slow pace of 25 mm/s normally, this massive block took an impressive 1 day and 9 hours to complete. With no top or bottom layers in sight and a 5% infill on the full honeycomb pattern, I also added 8 walls around for extra support. The sanding belt I used measures 457mm X 75mm - check out this exact one I'm using: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JZMMJPD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Keep in mind that you might want to use support on the pin if you prefer a smooth interior dome, but I opted out of using support altogether.
