Sandbag Bunker with roof 28mm ** Revised 2017-07-07
thingiverse
I have reworked this significantly, greatly reducing the file size. I added a foundation for the printer bed, eliminating the need for a brim during printing. Thanks for bearing with me. This is a 28mm adaptation of Marko's design. I scaled it up to 28mm, created support beams for the roof, adding height to accommodate based 28mm figures standing upright. I textured the wood parts using Meshmixer and mirrored the sandbags on the left side to the right side to extend the sandbag coverage. To finish, I primed, painted with inexpensive acrylic paint, and drybrushed. I added medical gauze, colored with craft paint, to represent a poorly placed camouflage net. Please note that the support beams run along the side, as shown in the picture. I glued them using epoxy; CA won't work due to a loose fit. By the way, that is a 3D printed 28mm British 17 pounder ATG in the picture; it's a large gun: you can fit a ten-man section inside the bunker on 25mm bases.
