Sandal, aka Flip flop

Sandal, aka Flip flop

thingiverse

This two-part sandal is specifically designed for kids sized around 5 years old (size 12). Due to the printer access limitations, it was manufactured in halves that are joined together using acetone. Print the top and bottom portions separately, then smooth their edges with a flat file until they fit snugly together. To join them, apply acetone on both joint sides and press firmly for about a minute before letting them dry on a flat surface. For printing the other foot, just mirror the parts in ReplicatorG or your preferred printer program. The strap material is 9/16" webbing. A nail is used to hold the strap at the toe section while sides and nails are glued with hot glue. Additionally, hot glue is applied in bottom channels for a better grip, but other adhesive materials that stick to print could also work.
