I created a pair of sandals for occasional use at home and at the beach, among other places. Each pair consists of one kind of sole and strap combined using hard PVC glue, such as E6000. The soles are identical in shape and have ridges to provide better grip on the ground and also feature a slight curve at the top to mirror the contours of a human foot. In contrast, the straps have a distinctive curvature with an irregular slope from one end to the other, similar to how they wrap around a foot. In particular, one strap is placed further back than the opposite side to replicate the natural shape and balance required for comfortable wearing. With precise dimensions in mind, I designed the sandals so that their combined length measures about 265mm, with the shortest width between the strap tips standing at approximately 86mm.
