Sand Wheel
thingiverse
This plaything is designed for a child's sandbox, created as a gift for my son's second birthday. Details of this project, along with other crafts, can be found on my blog at http://msraynsford.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/elis-grandparents-gave-him-sand-pit-for.html. The structure, made from 3mm laser ply, fits tightly without glue; however, I later secured it with adhesive before allowing my son to play with it. M4 bolts are used, and a nylock nut is needed on the inner wheel to prevent loosening.
