Sand washing refers to the process of cleaning sand in order to remove impurities such as clay, silt, organic matter and other contaminants. This is achieved by passing the sand through a rotating drum or screw where water is added to wash away the dirt. The cleaned sand can then be used for various purposes including construction, filtration media and landscaping.
