Sand Tent Stake

Sand Tent Stake

thingiverse

Heading to the beach this summer and tired of the little wire tent stakes not holding in the sand. Looked up sand stakes to buy and was astonished at how much they cost, so a few minutes in CAD and a few hours on the printer and I've got a nice set that screws into the sand. Printed laying down so they won't shear at the layer lines. Needed a few supports (which I always try to design without) in that orientation, but printing vertically wanted to wobble and shear along layer lines. They are a bit big for something like my Ender 3, but printed just fine on my Mingda Rock 3 Pro and AnyCubic Chiron. You can also scale them if needed. I drove them full depth on mulch/loose dirt and didn't break them and could only pull them out with about a 6" section of mulch, but I plan on printing extra since they are cheap to print. I make no guarantee they will hold, but I intend to test them this summer.
