Sand Substrate Plant Base

One of the challenging tasks of sand substrate, is keeping live plants. Sand tends to move and fish easily dislodge plants. I made two bases. One for column feeding plants and one for rooted plants. The column fed base has a 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm hole, along with a second 4mm hole to bring the plant back up thru to lock it into place. Once buried under the sand, the base will hold the plant in place, and act as an anchor so the plant doesn't dislodge. The root Fed base, allows you to feed the base in and "s wrap" the roots into the base. Once buried in the sand, the base will act as an anchor, and allow the roots to continue to grow without fish pulling them up.
