The shader relies on a unique combination of bitmap and procedural effects. Four primary maps drive its behavior: * One Color map adds color to the surface * One Diffusion map governs how colors diffuse across the surface * One Luminance map controls light emission from within * One Bump map alters the surface's appearance by introducing tiny irregularities The shader includes seamless 4096x4096 TIF images and C4D files, specifically R15 compliant. Users can combine these maps with terrain masks for further enhancement. Multiple layers of procedural effects can be added on top of this base layer, extending its versatility even further. Since displacement mapping is fully supported, the user has an expansive range of choices when utilizing soft displacement map effects in C4D's rendering engine. When ready to render, it is best to utilize the 'matprev_env.hdr' file found within the material preview folder provided by C4D. This enables realistic IBL (Image-Based Lighting), GI (Global Illumination) and AO (Ambient Occlusion). The shader contains two luminance settings - 'Sand_002 NatLum', for a more natural, earthy look and 'Sand_002 ArtLum' providing an artistic aesthetic.
