Sand filled Bookshelf Speaker

A Portable Speaker is made from plastic. The speaker's box will vibrate poorly if the walls aren't hollow. That's why this design has hollow walls that can be filled with sand. The sand cancels out unwanted sounds. However, it makes the box very heavy at 1775 grams. To build one, you'll need: 1X inside Left STL 1X inside Right STL 1X outside Left STL 1X outside Right STL 2X sand lid STL After gluing everything together, fill it with sand from your garden. Use fine dry sand for best results. Once the hole is filled, use the "sand lids" to seal it. Check the Photos to understand this process better. Insert the speaker and guide its wire through a special tube. Seal the tube tightly with glue to prevent air leaks. At full scale, the box measures 170 x 120 x 100 mm. The speaker's bore is 60 mm in diameter, while mounting holes are 50 mm apart. The speaker chamber is about 77 mm deep. You can easily resize the box to fit different-sized speakers. At a 110% size increase, the bore expands to 66 mm. Other scale increases include: 120% =72 mm 130%=78mm 140%=84mm 150%=90mm Building one portable speaker requires 52 hours and 492 grams of material.
