Sand and Water Wheel
thingiverse
A patron asked us to come up with this given a set of specs. We designed it such that each scoop has as much volume as possible, while still being possible to print it on its side with no support. The inner sides are in a staggered dodecagon of shallow stairs so that it can bridge straight from one scoop to the next. You just need to turn on appropriate bridging settings, and then make sure to set the number of walls/perimeters high enough that all the overhang on the inside is wall and not top/bottom pattern. Probably we should redesign it again with more stairsteps so that a more reasonable number of walls/perimeters will do the job.
