San's Mask for cosplay, from Princess Mononoke
thingiverse
I created a 3D printed replica of San's Mask from the Studio Ghibli film Princess Mononoke, released in 1997. When designing this mask, I used numerous reference images with varying shapes and proportions to strike a balance between accuracy and aesthetics. The result is a design that looks good on both human faces and anime characters. This set includes the mask itself, mounting anchors for an elastic strap, ears, and a headband. The mask has been split into four pieces for ease of printing. If you'd like any changes or have specific requests, please let me know in the comments below. Here are the print settings I used: Ultimaker 2 printer with 0.2-0.3 resolution, 20% infill, and both rafts and supports enabled. To ensure a good fit, I recommend taking measurements of your head and the mask beforehand. When printing, simply follow the routine: print, glue, sand, and paint as needed. For assembly, locate the mounting anchors on the mask's interior and attach them to the elastic strap according to the photo below. Location of Mounting Anchors Glue the anchors in place within the designated areas.
