San Pedro Church - Gijón, Spain

Welcome to Asturias! St. Peter's Church (Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol) stands tall in Gijón, a northern Spanish city nestled in the heart of Asturias. This iconic church is one of its most recognizable landmarks. What's fascinating about St. Peter's Church is that it's relatively young compared to many European churches that date back to the Middle Ages. Built between 1945 and 1955, this stunning structure replaced an original Gothic church that was ravaged by the Spanish Civil War in 1936. Architects Francisco & Federico Somolinos designed the new church in a Historicist style, drawing inspiration from Romanesque and Asturian Pre-Romanesque architecture. Their vision has resulted in a breathtakingly beautiful building that's a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage. MiniWorld is thrilled to bring this stunning model to life as a tribute to the people of Asturias. Crafted from scratch using Autodesk Fusion 360, every detail was carefully hand-made and brain-stormed to ensure its accuracy and authenticity. Special thanks go out to Oscar Gonzalez for making this project possible! MiniWorld is an exciting collection of 3D printable models that celebrate iconic landmarks from around the world.
