San Francisco Cable Car

San Francisco Cable Car

thingiverse

I've crafted this San Francisco Cable Car model with precision and attention to detail, striving to replicate the authentic experience. However, I had to make a few adjustments to ensure it could be printed on a Makerbot Replicator+. To assemble the model, you'll need four copies of the Wheel Assembly, but only one copy each of all other parts. The included slots and pegs will help position the parts correctly, which can then be secured permanently with a few drops of Super Glue. Alternatively, you might want to leave the roof assembly unglued to the Main Body, allowing it to be easily removed for interior inspection, just like in the provided image. To print all the parts, follow the orientations shown; note that the Top Roof must be printed upright. I used a Smart Extruder+ with rafts and no supports for printing. Approximate dimensions of the model are: Length - 17cms Width - 5.5cms Height (excluding bell) - 7cms Estimated printing times: Main body - 7h. 52m. Main roof - 3h. 9m. Top roof - 1h. 31m. Wheel assembly - 18m. Wheel guard - 5m. Bell - 3m. To view more of my designs, visit https://www.thingiverse.com/Winslow/designs
