San Francisco Bay Bridge - Western Span
thingiverse
This is a 3D model of the western span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge that I created in OpenSCAD for 3D printing purposes. All smaller features such as cabling and cross-beam supports have been designed to be sturdy enough to remain intact when sliced for printing. My initial attempts had smaller details disappearing entirely after slicing. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Kossel Mini Rafts: No rafts used Supports: Necessary due to printer limitations Resolution: .4mm layer thickness Infill: 100% solid infill Notes: Unless you have a highly calibrated printer, printing with supports is recommended. I printed the model using a .3mm layer thickness.
