San Diego Coast
thingiverse
A portion of southern California's coastline was utilized to create two relief maps of San Diego, which can be found at thing:109351 and http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/coastal/crm.html. The first map features the area around San Diego, highlighting the Rose Canyon fault beneath it. This fault stretches from north of Mission Bay to the coast near Mount Solidad, with its location marked in key.pdf alongside other points of interest. A second, seaward-shifted map includes the seafloor as an inverse plot, depicting depths up to 60 meters at sea level for easy distinction between above and below water levels. Notably, the end of the Rose Canyon fault aligns with the start of La Jolla Trench, a submarine canyon. Additionally, source code is provided, along with a zipped data file for convenience. To print stl files, simply place them directly on the build platform.
